Environmental Protection
Pre-EIA and EIA for oil, gas and condensate field development projects. Category 1 general license for environmental design and standard-setting.
Environmental documentation is produced in-house, without subcontracting: emissions calculations, impact assessments and supporting materials are prepared alongside the development project, so the solutions stay consistent.
Scope of work
- Pre-EIA — Preliminary environmental impact assessment: early-stage review of design decisions, identifying significant impact types and the scope of further studies.
- EIA for development projects — Environmental impact assessment for oil, gas and condensate field development: air emissions calculations, waste management, impact assessment on environmental components, mitigation measures.
- Environmental standard-setting — Work under the category 1 general license for environmental design and standard-setting, issued in 2014.
How the work proceeds
- Input data and scoping — We take on the development and facility design decisions, source characteristics and data on the project site area.
- Data analysis and calculations — We calculate emissions and dispersion in the ERA suite and EKOLOG software, and assess waste management and impact on environmental components.
- Impact assessment by option — We compare design options by the significance of their impact and form a list of environmental protection measures.
- Approval and defense — We prepare the EIA section, support it through the approval procedure, and address comments.
- Implementation support — We update the documentation as needed when design decisions or operating conditions change.
