Field development technological schemes and projects, reservoir simulation models, development analysis, supervision and oil recovery factor feasibility studies.
This area is responsible for field development design documents and their support throughout their validity period. Work is carried out by the development design, reservoir simulation, production technology and surface facility design departments.
Scope of work
- Technological schemes and development projects — A design document for developing an oil or gas field: justification of the development system, well pattern and operating modes, production and injection levels, technological indicators by option.
- Supervision — Monitoring the implementation of development projects for oil, gas-condensate, gas and water fields: comparing actual with design indicators, identifying deviations and recommending corrective action.
- Development analysis — Assessing the current state of oil, gas and condensate field development: production and water-cut trends, effectiveness of the injection system, well stock status, production reserves.
- Reservoir simulation model development — Building and history-matching a model in tNavigator or Eclipse, calculating forecast scenarios, assessing sensitivity of indicators to model parameters.
- Oil recovery factor feasibility studies — Comparing development options by technological and economic indicators, and selecting the recommended option.
How the work proceeds
- Input data and scoping — We take on the geological model, production and injection history, well tests, well stock and infrastructure data, and agree on the list of options to be considered.
- Data analysis and model building — We check and reconcile the development history, build the reservoir simulation model and history-match it at both field and individual well level.
- Development option calculations — We run options that differ by development system, well pattern, modes and injection volumes, and assess the technological indicators and economics of each.
- Approval and defense — We prepare the design document, support its review, address comments and make corrections until approval.
- Supervision of implementation — After approval, we support the project: comparing actuals with the design, recording deviations, and preparing recommendations and addenda to the design document as needed.
